Loeffler Must Answer: Has the FBI Contacted Her About Her Stock Trades?

Loeffler has spent the day dodging reporters and refusing to give a straight answer about whether or not she’s talked to the FBI

ATLANTA — Unelected “political mega-donor” Senator Kelly Loeffler still won’t give a clear answer about whether or not the FBI has approached her about her coronavirus stock trading after reports that the FBI served a warrant to Senator Richard Burr and seized his cellphone over his own stock trades.

After spending hours dodging reporters’ questions in the Capitol, Loeffler attempted to quell suspicions by releasing a statement that still avoided answering whether or not she’d talked to the FBI. And of course, Loeffler still won’t call for a Senate Ethics Committee investigation nor has she answered other basic questions about her trading.

“Senator Kelly Loeffler may not think Georgians deserve answers about their senators’ stock trading, but it’s clear that law enforcement does,” said Alex Floyd, spokesman for the Democratic Party of Georgia. “It’s time for Loeffler to quit dodging and set the record straight: Has she talked to the FBI or not?”
