Lawrenceville Rd. United Methodist Church Extends Voting Hours by 40 Minutes

The Lawrenceville Rd. United Methodist Church in DeKalb County is extending its voting hours by 40 minutes to ensure Georigans assigned to that polling place have the full 12 hours available to cast their ballots. The Democratic Party of Georgia is calling on reporters and editors to help spread the word, so voters are aware they have an additional 40 minutes to cast their votes at this polling place.

It’s crucial for news outlets and reporters to remind voters who vote at the above locations that if they are in line to vote before/by the extended time, they can stay in line to cast their votes — even if they have to wait past the extended time to do so.

  1. On the top of the page, click the “My Voting Location” tab.
  1. Confirm your assigned polling place on the top section of the page under “Precinct Polling Location.”

REMINDING VOTERS OF POLL CLOSING TIME: It’s also crucial for news outlets and reporters to remind voters that if they are in line to vote before/by 7:00 PM on Election Day, they can stay in line to cast their votes — even if they have to wait past 7:00 PM to do so.
