Help Move Georgia Forward
Early in-person voting and ballot drop boxes will no longer be offered after Friday, June 17
Today, Friday, June 17, is the last day that early in-person voting will be offered for Georgia’s June 21 primary runoff elections. All voters should make a plan today to vote early at any polling location in their county.
Due to changes in the absentee ballot process under SB 202, early in-person voting is highly recommended for those who are able. Individuals unable to vote early in person will still be able to vote by absentee ballot if they have already applied for and received one, or at their assigned precinct on Election Day.
Today, Friday, June 17, is also the last day that ballot drop boxes will be available. Individuals with absentee ballots should return their fill-out ballot at a ballot drop box by the end of early voting hours today, or drop their absentee ballot off in person at their county registrar’s office before the polls close on Election Day, June 21. If returning an absentee ballot by mail is their only option, they should consider using rushed shipping to ensure their ballot arrives by June 21. Voters who requested but never received an absentee ballot should make a plan to vote early in person today or on Election Day.
Voters can find their sample ballot online on their My Voter Page at mvp.sos.ga.gov. Instructions for locating sample ballots can be found on DPG’s website.
We encourage all Georgians to make a plan to vote early using the information below and on DPG’s website, and to call the Voter Protection Hotline at 1-888-730-5816 with questions.
