More Herschel Headaches Following Trump-tapped Candidate’s Worst Week Yet

The headaches just keep on coming for Herschel Walker, the Trump-tapped Senate candidate, and conservative frustrations with Walker’s absentee campaign continue to grow. The Trump-tapped candidate was going through his most “brutal” week yet — as Republican rivals went “for the jugular” on Walker’s baggage “demolition derby” style, massive lies in the Trump-tapped candidate’s business record were put on full display, and his comments on evolution triggered a wave of national ridicule.

Here are the latest financial controversies Walker is facing after one of his worst weeks yet in #GASEN:

• NEW: After reluctantly canceling a fundraiser amid public outrage, Walker still accepted “maximum contribution” from “syringe swastika” donor.  In October, Walker defended the donor’s use of the swastika as a symbol of the anti-vaccine movement, before canceling the fundraiser amid public outrage and condemnation from Georgia religious leaders. After reluctantly canceling the fundraiser, the AJC reports that Walker has now accepted a “maximum contribution of $11,600” for his campaign.

• “Walker, Texas Fundraiser.” Meanwhile, Walker continues to come under scrutiny from his Republican rivals for spending more time with Texas donors than Georgia voters.

• Walker flagged for dozens of campaign finance errors by the FEC. Business Insider reports the Federal Election Commission has “flagged…Walker’s U.S. Senate campaign…[for] accepting donations in excess of the $2,900 legal donation limit,” and appears to have illegally “taken donations from several corporate entities.”

• “Brutal” Republican “Demolition Derby”: The “gloves are off” in Georgia’s GOP Senate primary, as Herschel Walker’s Republican rivals sharpen their attacks. As the Fox News and Atlanta Journal-Constitution report, the Trump-tapped candidate is getting hit with scathing new advertisements about his “history of violent behavior, confusing remarks and tightlipped approach to the media,” along with fighting words about the “autograph tour” and “entitlement campaign” he’s running for U.S. Senate. 

• Walker’s Bombshell Business Lies: After a new report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution revealed Herschel Walker has “exaggerated claims” about his business record and uncovered “a string of defaults, settlements and lawsuits alleging that Walker and his businesses owed millions of dollars in unpaid loans,” a wave of coverage is slamming Walker’s “controversial business record” – saying “the details are quite something” and “difficult to defend.” Business leaders and workers are reacting.

• “National Embarrassment”: People react to Walker’s latest bizarre comment. The Huffington Post reported on new statements from Herschel Walker in which he questions the concept of evolution and claims that “the fact that apes and humans coexist disproves accepted science” — triggering a wave of coverage across the country of the Trump-tapped candidate’s latest head-scratcher. It’s the newest in a string of bizarre blunders and false statements that Walker has made, including bragging about having a “dry mist” product that would — “as you walk through the door” — “kill any COVID on your body.”
