ATLANTA — Today, Democratic Party of Georgia Executive Director Rebecca DeHart issued the following statement on Brian Kemp’s latest defeat in court:

“Another day, another major defeat for Brian Kemp’s voter suppression efforts. He has once again gone so far in trying to disenfranchise eligible Georgia voters that the courts are forcing him to do this job. In this case, he attempted to use bureaucratic hurdles to disenfranchise new Georgian citizens, rather than protecting their fundamental rights as Americans. Brian Kemp cannot be trusted to protect the votes of Georgians, and he has made no secret that he wants fewer people to vote. Not only is Brian Kemp getting smacked down repeatedly in court, but Georgians are voting in unprecedented numbers despite his best efforts.”
