Loeffler must say if she will still stand “100%” with Republicans like Carr who are trying to completely strike down the health care law

ATLANTA — As unelected “political mega-donor” Senator Kelly Loeffler campaigns today with Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr, it’s time for Loeffler to clearly state where she stands on the reckless lawsuit backed by Carr that would completely overturn the entire health care law and end its critical protections for 1.8 million Georgians with pre-existing conditions.

Loeffler has previously promised to stand “100%” with Republican leadership and President Donald Trump, who also supports this lawsuit to “terminate” the law that has provided vital health care protections in the middle of a pandemic. Carr himself has praised federal courts that responded to his lawsuit by completely striking down the ACA.

What would Carr’s preferred outcome look like in this case for Georgians?

“While Senator Kelly Loeffler campaigns with a leading supporter of the reckless anti-health care lawsuit, she has been silent on whether she supports her party’s push to eliminate protections for people with pre-existing conditions,” said Alex Floyd, spokesman for the Democratic Party of Georgia. “Loeffler claims she stands with GOP leaders and Donald Trump ‘100%’ — so she should have no problem being honest about her support of their efforts to overturn the health care law in the middle of a pandemic.”
