JUST NOW AT TRUMP RALLY: Senator Perdue Mocks Senator Harris’ Name For Cheers As He Tries To Save Losing Campaign

October 16, 2020

“Kamala-mala-mala-whatever”

ATLANTA — At today’s rally for President Trump, Senator Perdue intentionally mispronounced and mocked Senator Kamala Harris’ name in an ugly attempt to score political cheers as he desperately attempts to save his losing campaign.

Senator Perdue has stood by President’s Trump’s most racist remarks and controversial moments, infamously saying it was “outrageous” to call President Trump’s tweet racist that told four Democratic Congresswomen of color to “go back” to their countries, despite receiving widespread backlash.

When Trump referred to Haiti, El Salvador, and African nations as “shithole” countries during a White House meeting — at which Senator Perdue was present — Perdue defended the president and claimed he did not recall the President saying the comments despite the United Nations saying the remarks could “potentially damage and disrupt the lives of many people.”

This isn’t the first time Perdue has trafficked in bigotry – recently Perdue was forced to pull down ads that three graphics design experts confirmed digitally “lengthened and widened” Jon Ossoff’s nose, “even as other parts of his face stayed the same size and proportions.” The ad was accused of using “longstanding anti-Semitic tropes.” Perdue’s campaign blamed an outside vendor and never took responsibility, but did call himself the victim.

“Senator Perdue’s intentionally disrespectful mispronunciation of Senator Harris’s name is a bigoted and racist tactic straight from President Trump’s handbook. He owes Georgians an apology for his offensive display,” said Democratic Party of Georgia Chairwoman Nikema Williams.
