Help Move Georgia Forward
Thanks to President Biden and Democrats’ American Rescue Plan, Atlantans’ small businesses and nonprofits are receiving millions of dollars in grants to support their ongoing recovery from the pandemic – no thanks to Georgia Republicans, who unanimously opposed the relief. The grants, targeted to support businesses in under-invested areas of the city, are the latest in a long list of investments across Georgia made possible by Democrats’ landmark relief package.
Mayor Andre Dickens announced the $8.2 million in grants from the Resurgence Grant Fund, which is funded by the American Rescue Plan.
The announcement continues a yearlong pattern of Georgians benefitting from a Democratic accomplishment their Republican representatives opposed unanimously – with Brian Kemp calling the American Rescue Plan a “slap in the face to hardworking Georgians” and urging Georgia’s U.S. Senators to block it, then taking credit as the funding came through to help Georgians.
