ICYMI: NEW STUDY: GOP-Led States Like Georgia Had COVID-19 Rates 8% Higher Than Democratic-Led States

Last week, a new study released in the American Journal of Preventative Medicine found that the spread of COVID-19 in states led by Republican governors was eight percent higher than in states led by Democratic governors. As case numbers decrease across the country thanks to President Biden’s bold efforts to get every American vaccinated, Georgia Republicans’ pro-COVID rhetoric and policies continue to put Georgians’ health at risk and jeopardize our economic recovery.

Even though the Biden-Harris administration’s COVID-19 plan has proven to be effective and popular, Brian Kemp and Georgia Republicans opposed the life-saving measures. Even Fox News released a poll showing that 56 percent of Americans favored the President’s new measures to decrease the spread of coronavirus, leaving Georgia Republicans on the wrong side of both public health and public opinion.
