new poll conducted by the University of Georgia and Atlanta Journal-Constitution shows that Georgia voters overwhelmingly approve of President Joe Biden’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and back his legislative agenda, including the American Rescue Plan and American Jobs Plan.

A majority of Georgia voters:

  • Approve of Joe Biden’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic (61%)
  • Support the American Rescue Plan (59%)
  • Support the American Jobs Plan (51%)
  • Still support the American Jobs Plan when they learn it will be funded in part by making corporations pay their fair share of taxes (51%)

“Georgia voters elected Joe Biden because they knew he would rein in the COVID-19 pandemic and get America back on track with relief checks, shots in arms, and more jobs. Just over 100 days into the Biden-Harris administration, Georgians approve of his job performance because he has done exactly that, and they can see the effects,” said Rebecca Galanti, spokesperson for the Democratic Party of Georgia. “Georgia voters know it was Joe Biden and Democrats in Congress who delivered the American Rescue Plan and its much-needed relief, and now they want their leaders to support Biden’s American Jobs Plan and its once-in-a-generation investment in infrastructure and job creation.”
