Help Move Georgia Forward
Today, the Democratic Party of Georgia held press conferences at Cobb County and Savannah ballot drop boxes to highlight options for voting by mail in the runoff elections.
Local leaders reminded voters to request their absentee ballots and emphasized the convenience of using secure ballot drop boxes to return absentee ballots before January 5. Speakers also encouraged Georgians to make a plan to vote early for Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock by visiting georgiademocrat.org/vote for information on where, when, and how to vote.

Cobb County Ballot Box Tour Stop with State Representative Erick Allen and State Representative Teri Anulewicz
“Georgians have a legacy of showing up and making their voices heard. This was true in November and we will continue to show up in record numbers between now and January 5,” said State Representative Erick Allen. “It is so important — now more than ever — that every Georgian makes a plan to vote and votes early. There are many ways to vote this election season, but one of the easiest ways to make your voice heard is to vote absentee. We highly encourage you to drop off your ballot at one of the secure drop boxes located in your county at whatever time is convenient for you before 7:00 PM on election day.”
“This election is critical to our country’s future. Make no mistake: everything we voted for on November 6 – health care, jobs, the environment, women’s rights, education, racial justice – is still on the ballot January 5,” said State Representative Teri Anulewicz. “It’s time to finish the fight. Our work is not done yet. Make your plan to vote early and then make sure everyone you know has a plan to vote too. If you haven’t already, request your absentee ballot today and drop it off at a ballot drop box in your county. We can’t afford to sit this one out.”
Savannah Ballot Box Tour Stop with Mayor Van Johnson and State Representative Carl Gilliard
“There are many ways to vote this election season but one of the easiest ways to make your voice heard is to vote by mail. There are 10 ballot drop boxes across Chatham County — including one right here at the Elections Office,” said Mayor Van Johnson. “We turned Georgia blue in November and we need every Georgian to make a plan to vote early to keep Georgia blue and flip the Senate. Make sure your voice is heard before January 5th.”
“Georgians have a chance to flip the Senate by electing Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock — leaders who will fight for working people and put Georgian families first. We need to send two new Senators to Washington to give Joe Biden and Kamala Harris the Senate they need to make real change,” said State Representative Carl Gilliard. “Make your plan to vote early and make sure everyone you know has a plan to vote too. We can’t afford to sit this one out.”
