Thanksgiving is a time for all of us to celebrate family, friends and to give thanks for all the blessings, large and small, that have been bestowed upon us.

Today as we pause to reflect upon those things that are important to each one of us, please also remember those who made what we have possible.

From our great political and civil rights leaders, like President Roosevelt and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., to our military men and women who have fought for and protect our freedoms every day to our teachers, parents and grandparents who have had an influence in our lives: so much of what we have comes from their dedication, devotion and sacrifice.

I am thankful to live in a country where we have the right to speak and worship the way we wish and where we all have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Please remember all of those who are less fortunate and please keep them in your prayers. Thanks to all of you for all you have done and may you and your loved ones have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.
