SANDY SPRINGS, GA – Today, while Kimberly Guilfoyle and Katrina Pierson attempt to sell Georgia women on Trump’s failing presidency, the Democratic Party of Georgia is highlighting his record of broken promises.

The truth is Donald Trump has turned his back on women and failed to deliver on the issues they care about at every turn:

  • Trump’s efforts to destroy the Affordable Care Act could leave 720,000 Georgians without coverage and return us to the days when insurance companies could charge women more while not covering essential services like maternity care.
  • Trump has repeatedly lied about his tax scam — which gave the richest 5% of Georgia taxpayers 57% of the tax cuts this year — calling it “the biggest tax cut of anybody by far” and claiming “the middle class is getting the biggest part of it” — neither of which are true.
  • While Trump has stacked the courts with anti-choice judges, his cronies in Georgia like Governor* Brian Kemp have pushed through extreme anti-choice legislation meant to overturn Roe v. Wade that would outlaw abortion services before many women even know they’re pregnant.
  • And to top it all off,  the Trump administration has rolled back protections against sexual harassment in the workplace and made it harder for women to fight for equal pay.

Democratic Party of Georgia Communications Director Maggie Chambers released the following statement:

“Women have caught on to the countless lies and broken promises of this president and his cruel administration – from his attacks on women’s health care and their reproductive rights, to his economic policies that benefit the very rich while leaving hardworking women and their families behind. Georgia women can’t afford another four years of Donald Trump.”
