Help Move Georgia Forward
Senate Republicans have revealed their latest agenda item if Herschel Walker or one of his GOP rivals win Georgia’s Senate seat in 2022: repeal the Affordable Care Act, which would spike the cost of health care and gut coverage protections for 1.8 million Georgians with pre-existing conditions. This comes shortly after NRSC Chair Rick Scott released a plan to raise taxes on nearly 42.5 percent of Georgians and jeopardize Medicare and Social Security for Georgia seniors.
“While Senator Reverend Warnock is fighting to lower the cost of health care and insulin and cut taxes for Georgians, Herschel Walker, Gary Black, and every other candidate in this GOP field would be a rubber stamp for their party’s agenda: raising taxes on seniors and working families, jeopardizing Medicare and Social Security, and spiking health care costs while gutting coverage for 1.8 million Georgians with pre-existing conditions,” said Dan Gottlieb, spokesman for Democratic Party of Georgia.
