Today, Columbus voters sat down with State Rep. Teddy Reese and Councilwoman Toyia Tucker for a roundtable discussion hosted by the Democratic Party of Georgia to share why they’re voting for Reverend Warnock and against Herschel Walker.

With Georgia’s Senate runoff election rapidly approaching — early voting in Muscogee County begins Saturday, November 26th, and Election Day is on December 6th — local voters shared what’s at stake for them in the runoff election and encouraged their fellow voters to make their voices heard.

“We need real representation, not representation that’s just there to pull a party line. We need someone who’s going to be thinking about folks like my 88 year old grandmother – like the lady who lives down the street from me who’s everyday trying to determine whether or not she’s going to pay her bills or pay for her prescription medicine,” said State Representative Teddy Reese (HD-140). “We need leaders who are going to fight for them – who’s going to think about them every day, not their own bottom line and not their own dollar.”
