Yesterday, Governor Brian Kemp signed SB 189 into law, empowering anti-democracy activists to mount baseless mass challenges to other voters’ registrations.
“Kemp’s signature on S.B. 189 is a slap on the back to MAGA conspiracy theorists like his lieutenant governor who refuse to accept President Biden won in 2020,” said Tolulope Kevin Olasanoye, Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Georgia. “Republicans can’t win on their record of leaving Georgians behind, so, like a broken record, they resort to suppressing votes they’re incapable of earning.”
