Tonight, in response to Donald Trump wading into the GOP gubernatorial primary, the Democratic Party of Georgia released the following statement:
“Donald Trump’s endorsement in the GOP gubernatorial primary cements what we already knew – that this primary will be a nasty race to the right focused on conspiracy theories and political loyalty tests rather than the issues that matter most to Georgians,” said Rebecca Galanti, spokesperson for the Democratic Party of Georgia. “While Republican candidates remain preoccupied with Trump’s litmus tests and appeasing his base, Democrats are laser-focused on delivering real solutions to make working Georgians’ lives better.”
