ATLANTA – Tonight, after reports of Georgia elections officials receiving dangerous threats and harassment for doing their jobs, Democratic Party of Georgia Chairwoman Nikema Williams released the following statement: 

“Georgia Democrats stand with election workers across Georgia, who have been targeted with threats and harassment for doing their jobs and serving our democracy. Let’s be clear: these attacks and the baseless conspiracy theories spread by those in office are threatening the very foundations of our democracy. It’s time to move on from Donald Trump and the Republicans in office who are letting his lies go unchecked — and make sure that all Georgians’ right to vote is respected on January 5th.”
