“Georgia Democrats have always said that our state will play a critical role in the national political landscape for years to come and must be prioritized as such. Today’s vote by the DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee to recommend Georgia as an early primary state reflects the Democratic Party’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity, and we are grateful for the committee’s recognition. As the process to set a new early primary calendar continues, we remain focused on re-electing Reverend Raphael Warnock and delivering a crucial win for Democrats nationwide – proving once again the importance of investing in the Peach State.”
