Today, with 100 days remaining until November’s general elections, Democratic Party of Georgia Chairwoman Nikema Williams issued the following statement:

“With 100 days to go until November’s general elections, Georgians are presented with a clear contrast that’s only growing starker by the day. We’ve seen Georgia Republicans move to gut women’s access to reproductive health care – from Brian Kemp’s extreme abortion ban, to Georgia’s GOP representatives in Congress voting against protecting women who cross state lines for an abortion, and even the right to contraception. The GOP has signaled they’d put Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block, jeopardizing Georgia seniors’ livelihoods. They want to turn back the clock on all the progress Georgia and our country have fought so hard for.

“In these last 100 days, Georgia Democrats will fight to elect champions for our rights and our freedom – including Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock, who’s led the fight to lower costs for working families and bring good-paying jobs to Georgia, and Stacey Abrams, who as our next governor will fight for One Georgia where everyone’s voice is heard.”
