Career Politician, Career Political Donor Argue Over Who Is More of An Insider (Spoiler: Both)

June 11, 2020

ATLANTA — Today, unelected “political mega-donor” Senator Kelly Loeffler and top Trump ally Congressman Doug Collins entered yet another round of GOP infighting about their insider status after Collins flip-flopped and signed a term limits pledge despite previously calling them “bumper sticker answers.”

Collins’ newly discovered passion for term limits has reignited a long-running contest between the two of them: Which one is the biggest political insider?

The answer? Both, of course.

Career politician Collins has spent over a decade in public office working his way up the political ladder, and his latest reversal on an issue he repeatedly opposed and called “a political move” used by “struggling” candidates comes as no surprise.

Loeffler, meanwhile, is an infamous “political mega-donor” who has spent her career doling out money to any politician she can — including her recent attempts to buy her Senate seat outright with a $20 million pledge.

“While Kelly Loeffler and Doug Collins fight over who’s a political insider, the answer is clear to Georgians: both of them,” said Alex Floyd, spokesman for the Democratic Party of Georgia. “But fortunately for both Collins and Loeffler, neither will have to spend much time fighting about term limits or their insider status after this next election.”
