Georgia has several healthcare crises raging and Brian Kemp is bringing them all together – literally

ATLANTA – As Georgians enter the seventh month of struggling with COVID-19 thanks to Brian Kemp and Donald Trump’s failed leadership, Brian Kemp has been defying his own coronavirus orders by traipsing across the state holding large gatherings for his politician buddies while Georgia nears 300,000 coronavirus cases and 6,500 deaths.

Earlier this month, Kemp spoke at a large indoor gathering to support Georgia’s unelected Senator Kelly Loeffler — violating his own executive order banning gatherings of more than 50 people. Kemp followed that up this week by speaking at yet another reckless political rally, this time with Eric Trump, right before he renewed his own ban on large gatherings.

As Kemp continues this reckless behavior that prolongs the COVID-19 crisis, he’s proposed a healthcare “plan” that would lower Georgians’ access to healthcare. All this happens as a new report shows the quality of Georgia’s healthcare system has dropped to the fourth worst in the nation. Under Brian Kemp, the healthcare crises just keep adding up.

“While Kemp can’t even follow his own barely-there executive orders to contain this virus, his administration is literally trying to reduce Georgians’ access to care in the middle of a global pandemic,” said Maggie Chambers, spokeswoman for the Democratic Party of Georgia. “Kemp is not just failing to protect Georgians, he is actively taking steps to harm them.”
