ATLANTA — Following yesterday’s news that ultra-conservative Congressman Doug Collins is set to challenge vulnerable “political mega-donor” Kelly Loeffler, the Georgia GOP continues to plunge head-first into a “an all-out Republican feud” as part of a “fierce melee” within the party. With Loeffler facing weak poll numbers and an ethical “minefield” but still ready to spend upwards of $20 million of her own money to hold her bought-and-paid-for seat, Georgia Republicans are now looking at “a divisive 2020 battle” and an expensive intraparty fight “at a time when Republicans can ill afford discord.”
