While refusing to call for an ethics investigation or clearly answer questions, Loeffler blames everything — including socialism — for her scandal in desperate attempts at damage control
ATLANTA — As unelected “political mega-donor” Senator Kelly Loeffler continues to demonstrate “a lesson in how not to manage a crisis,” instead of taking responsibility herself, Loeffler and her campaign have blamed just about everyone else for her coronavirus stock trading scandal. Here’s a list of everything and everyone Loeffler faults for the mess she made with her “timely trades”:
- “Fake news media”
- “Career politicians”
- “Left-wing blogs”
- Her enormous wealth
- “Political adversaries”
- Her anonymous stockbroker(s)
- Financial transparency laws
And of course, the latest target of Loeffler’s blame: Socialism. We can only imagine what she comes up with next.
“Instead of answering Georgians’ questions or calling for a Senate Ethics investigation, Senator Kelly Loeffler has rushed to blame everyone and everything but herself,” said Alex Floyd, spokesman for the Democratic Party of Georgia. “Her lack of accountability is yet another reason Georgia voters don’t trust her and why members of her own party see her as too toxic to be associated with.”
