As Marjorie Taylor Greene Loses Committee Seats in Bipartisan Vote, Georgia Republicans Continue to Enable Her Extremism

February 4, 2021

Despite her last-minute attempt to rewrite her history and cover up past remarks promoting violence and conspiracy theories, Marjorie Taylor Greene was stripped of her committee assignments in a bipartisan vote in the U.S. House of Representatives, with eleven of her fellow Republicans agreeing that her dangerous rhetoric is disqualifying.

However, top Georgia Republicans either remain silent or continue to support her, despite her refusal to apologize for her dangerous language and harmful actions. Meanwhile, Georgia Democrats in Congress and the state legislature are leading the way in cleaning up Republicans’ mess and standing up to Marjorie Taylor Greene’s repulsive and conspiracist ideology.

Will Georgia Republicans like Brian Kemp condemn Marjorie Taylor Greene’s dangerous rhetoric, or will they continue to let her speak for them?
