As the Supreme Court announced it will overturn Roe v. Wade and the protections it provided women to make their own health care decisions, Herschel Walker made it clear that he supports taking away a woman’s right to make her own medical choices, saying there’s “no exception in [his] mind,” even in cases of rape, incest, or danger to the mother’s life.

The Hill: Herschel Walker says he wants total ban on abortion: ‘There’s no exception in my mind’
Here’s Walker’s record:
- Herschel Walker wants to make abortion illegal without any exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the mother. ‘There’s no exception in my mind’ and he “will not apologize for that.”
- Walker doubled down on his support for banning all abortions without exceptions for rape or incest or to save the life of the mother after the Supreme Court’s draft opinion was leaked, promising to “protect the unborn with my life … because I believe from the womb to the tomb.”
- Trump-tapped candidate Walker admitted in a Georgia Life Alliance survey early on in the race that he supports “outlawing abortion, including in instances of rape and incest,” even if necessary to save the life of the mother.
- Walker was endorsed by Susan B. Anthony List, a major anti-choice group that has worked to undermine reproductive rights. This endorsement comes after Walker was endorsed by National Right to Life, another organization that fights for bans and restrictions on the decisions women make about their own health care.
