Today, Burt Jones announced yet another tele-rally with Donald Trump – his second in the past month alone, as he continues to put his loyalty to Trump ahead of what’s best for Georgians. This latest campaign event continues Jones’ and Rick Jackson’s record of competing for Trump’s attention.
Jones has made his endorsement from Trump a central pitch of his campaign, and stood side-by-side with Trump earlier this year in Rome as the president mocked the affordability crisis and praised the illegal tariffs that have raised costs on Georgians.
In response, Democratic Party of Georgia spokesperson Jake Strickland issued the following statement:
“Burt Jones has shown Georgians time and again that the only approval he’s looking for is Donald Trump’s — even as Trump said he ‘loves’ the inflation that is forcing Georgians to pay more for groceries, rent, and health care. Instead of spending more time with Trump, Jones should be standing up to the chaos coming out of this White House as it hurts Georgians.”
