Gubernatorial candidate Burt Jones plans to stop by the Gwinnett Chamber today, but Georgians won’t be fooled: at every turn he has backed job-killing, cost-raising policies that are hurting Georgia businesses and the state’s economy.
Jones strongly supported Trump’s tariffs tax increases that have drastically raised costs for Georgia businesses and workers, despite the fact that the Gwinnett Chamber has previously sounded the alarm on the disastrous and cost-raising effect of tariffs.
As if that wasn’t enough, Jones also vehemently supported Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” which is hurting Georgia businesses, cutting Georgia jobs, and causing health care premiums to skyrocket for 1.4 million people across our state.
“Burt Jones is bad for Georgia businesses. At every turn he’s supported cost-raising and job-killing policies that hurt our economy and make Georgia a much more expensive place to live and do business,” said Jake Strickland, communications advisor to the Georgia Democratic Party.
In this fast-accelerating race to the right, Jones has gone full MAGA to defend himself against an onslaught of attacks. But all of the Republicans for governor have strongly supported cost-raising policies coming out of DC that are contributing to the affordability crisis in Georgia.
