SHOT/CHASER: After Reports Trump Asked China for Election Help, Loeffler Says “No President” Tougher On China Than Trump

SHOT: Unelected “political mega-donor” Senator Kelly Loeffler claimed in a Fox News interview that, “No president in our lifetime has been more tough on China than President Trump.”

Sen. Loeffler: “That’s what President Trump has done so well is stand up to China…No president in our lifetime has been more tough on China than President Trump. And I’m going to continue to support those efforts legislatively.”

CHASER: Trump reportedly “asked Chinese President Xi Jinping to help him win the 2020 U.S. election” and “signaled his approval” of China’s human rights abuses.

“Apparently Senator Kelly Loeffler thinks being ‘tough on China’ means asking its leader for campaign help and condoning its human rights abuses,” said Alex Floyd, spokesman for the Democratic Party of Georgia. “It’s time for Loeffler to start standing up for real accountability from the Chinese government — and demand the president do the same.”
