“That’s what’s been the inner-city problem for a very long time”
On CNN this afternoon U.S. Rep. Rich McCormick said, “when in history have we had our poorest people also be our fattest people?”
McCormick went on to shame schoolchildren who receive free or reduced-cost school lunches as “sponging off the government,” continuing “that’s what’s been the inner-city problem for a very long time.”
