Help Move Georgia Forward
Following reports that the Supreme Court plans to overturn Roe v. Wade, Attorney General Chris Carr is doubling down on his dangerous anti-choice agenda and vowing to continue using the office of the Attorney General to curtail Georgians’ civil rights – despite the fact that over two-thirds of Georgians oppose overturning federal protections guaranteed by Roe v. Wade.
After lending legal support to the U.S. Supreme Court case that is currently poised to overturn the half-century precedent set in Roe v. Wade, today Carr promised to “continue to vigorously defend” HB 481, Georgia Republicans’ dangerous abortion restriction currently under court review.
Attorney General Chris Carr’s dangerous anti-choice record:
As the Supreme Court considered the current case that could gut Roe v. Wade, Carr publicly urged the court to dismantle the right to abortion.
Carr is still in court trying to push through HB 481, Georgia Republicans’ 2019 anti-choice law, which would ban abortion before most individuals even know they’re pregnant.
