In the latest sign of just how out-of-touch the Georgia Republican gubernatorial candidates are,
Rick Jackson shockingly shared Tuesday on The Martha Zoller Show that it was a “surprise” to learn about the high costs facing Georgia homeowners in the midst of the state’s housing affordability crisis, adding that he “did not realize how bad it was.” Republicans have been in power in Georgia for more than two decades – and the result is sky high costs for homeowners.
WATCH RICK JACKSON SAY HIGH HOUSING COSTS WERE A “SURPRISE”:

Maybe Jackson has been too busy sitting in his 47,000 square foot home – one of the biggest properties in Georgia – but it comes as no surprise to working Georgians bearing the brunt of Trump’s cost-raising agenda, who now pay an average $276 more on housing than before Trump took office.
Jackson is just the latest Republican candidate to show he is out of touch with Georgians who are struggling with high costs. Burt Jones last week proudly stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Trump in Rome last week as the president mocked skyrocketing prices that have Georgians spending $1,200 more annually. And Jackson recently shared that he “couldn’t name a single White House policy he disagrees with” while also joining the entire GOP gubernatorial field in opposing Medicaid expansion, further driving up the cost of health care for Georgians.
“Georgia families are struggling, but every single Republican running for governor doesn’t have a clue. They’re all pushing the same failed agenda that’s jacked up the cost of everything from rent to food to fuel, and Georgians have simply had enough of this cost-raising chaos,” said Jake Strickland, communications advisor to the Democratic Party of Georgia.
