Throughout the course of his campaign, Rick Jackson has failed to be upfront with Georgians about how his policies would harm our state – and yet benefit his bottom line.
Today, on National Tell the Truth Day, here’s 5 things Slick Rick needs to level with Georgians on:
- Jackson needs to be upfront about how he’s gotten rich off our healthcare – despite opposing Medicaid expansion for Georgia families.
- Jackson loves to boast and brag about how much money he’s made – while not addressing the fact he’s profited from the same healthcare system that’s failed Georgians.
- At the same time Jackson opposes Medicaid expansion, a stance which has resulted in nine rural hospitals shutting down across Georgia in just the past few years.
- Georgians deserve to know how he’s made money off our pain while also supporting policies that make our healthcare more expensive and less accessible.
- Jackson needs to be upfront about how much he wants to raise Georgians’ costs.
- Jackson supports the cost-raising policies coming out of DC, including Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ that has kicked more than 500,000 Georgians off their healthcare and increased Georgians’ insurance premiums by more than $860 a month.
- Jackson strongly supports Trump’s tariffs – even admitting to making money off of them as they have been a “gut punch” to Georgia families and small businesses.
- Georgians deserve to know just how much Jackson wants to drive up our costs and make our state even more unaffordable for working families.
- Jackson needs to tell the truth about the 2020 election – and stop pushing election denial.
- Jackson has been “adamant” on the trail that the 2020 election was stolen and said it was “totally ridiculous” that the will of the voters was not overturned.
- Jackson also strongly supported Trump’s attacks on Georgia’s elections, including the FBI raid on Fulton County’s elections hub earlier this year.
- Georgians deserve to know just how far Jackson is willing to go to support Trump’s darkest conspiracy theories if he’s ever elected governor.
- Jackson needs to be upfront about how much he wants to rip away Georgians’ reproductive freedoms – even in cases of rape.
- While Jackson attempts to distort his position, he’s made clear that would “absolutely confirm” a total abortion ban if elected governor.
- What’s more, he fully admitted to a voter in Walton County that he would force women to prove they were raped before accessing abortion care.
- With Georgia women suffering as a result of the extreme abortion bans, Georgians deserve to know just how dangerous Jackson’s stance on reproductive care truly is.
- Jackson needs to be upfront about his numerous conflicts of interest if he was ever elected governor.
- Jackson has made over a billion dollars – much of it in the form of no-bid state contracts – from the same taxpayer-funded agencies that exist to serve and protect Georgians.
- He’s said he’ll “unwind” his state contracts if elected governor, but has failed to lay out any specific plans for how he plans to do that.
- Georgians deserve to know about his many conflicts of interest and how he has lined his pockets with over a billion dollars from the taxpayers of our state.
