As the U.S Senate prepares to vote this week on a bill to extend ACA tax credits, GOP U.S. Senate candidate Rep. Mike Collins said he opposes extending ACA subsidies and further solidified his stance against lowering health care costs for Georgians.

Collins told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution today that he supports the Senate GOP’s opposition to the bill, despite the fact that Georgians in his district could see their premiums skyrocket as much as $936 per month.

“Mike Collins has told Georgians time and time again that he absolutely will not protect their affordable health care and has no real plan to stop their premiums from skyrocketing at the end of the year,” said Democratic Party of Georgia Senior Communications Advisor Devon Cruz. “Collins and his price-hiking agenda have no place representing Georgians in the United States Senate.”
