Trump and Senate Republicans have repeatedly blocked proposals to fund TSA, an offer that Democrats have been putting forward for weeks
Today, the Democratic Party of Georgia is holding GOP U.S. Senate candidates Buddy Carter, Mike Collins, and Derek Dooley accountable for their Party’s refusal to end the government shutdown, pay TSA agents, and stop the chaos at airports across the country by launching a new mobile billboard and social media video.
For three weeks, Senate Democrats have tried to fund TSA while negotiations over reforms to ICE continued. Republicans have blocked these proposals repeatedly.
The mobile billboard will circle Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airport on Thursday and make it clear that blame for long lines and TSA agents not getting paid is at the feet of Trump, Carter, Collins, and Dooley:

The DPG is pairing the mobile billboard with a new social media video hitting Carter, Collins, and Dooley for continuing to stand by Trump and Senate Republicans’ repeated opposition to funding TSA.

“Senate Democrats have repeatedly tried to pass TSA funding and Republicans have blocked it every time,” said Democratic Party of Georgia Chair Charlie Bailey. “Buddy Carter, Mike Collins, and Derek Dooley need to tell Trump and their Party to stop standing in the way of a solution and end this shutdown today.”
