As Donald Trump plans to launch new, dangerous tariffs on imported goods today, here’s a reminder that Rep. Mike Collins “quietly” voted last month to give the president the unilateral ability to effectively raise taxes.

Georgians need to know: Does Collins stand by his vote that’s raising costs at the grocery store, at the pharmacy, and at the gas pump?

“Mike Collins and Republicans co-signed Donald Trump’s permission slip to impose tariffs and raise taxes on hardworking Georgians,” said DPG spokesman Alex Yerkey. “Georgians need to know whether Collins continues to stand by his reckless actions to increase costs across the Peach State.”

According to CNN, the next round of Trump’s tariffs, a 25% tax hike on vehicles and vehicle parts, is poised to go into effect tomorrow, April 3rd. So far, Trump’s on-again, off-again tariffs have infused massive uncertainty into the American and world economy, roiling markets and sparking retaliatory tax increases and full-on trade wars against rivals and allies alike.
