GOP U.S. Senate candidate “MAGA warrior” Buddy Carter used the first week of the election year to send shots at failed and fired former Tennessee football coach Derek Dooley over his failure to vote in any election for over 20 years in an interview on the Brian Kilmeade Show.
During the interview, Carter is asked what he thinks about Dooley’s candidacy to which he responds:
“You’re talking about the guy who’s voted once in the last 20 years? Is that the one you’re talking about, that’s the one you’re talking about, who’s voted once in the last 20 years. You ought not be eligible to run for the Senate if you’ve only voted once, if you haven’t been participating.”
Carter’s most recent attack on Dooley comes after Dooley has been taking hits for months, including an ad from MAGA extremist Mike Collins who slammed Dooley in November for not voting in over 20 years.
“Republicans are in for five more months of Buddy Carter, Mike Collins, and Derek Dooley ripping each other apart and tearing each other down,” said Democratic Party of Georgia Senior Communications Advisor Devon Cruz. “Carter, Collins, and Dooley have made it clear there’s no turning down the heat on this messy, chaotic primary that will result in a badly bruised general election nominee.”
