As Georgians all across our state express deep concern over the impact of data centers in their communities, Rick Jackson has repeatedly admitted to being “very pro data center” and isn’t shy about his direct financial stake in these facilities.

Speaking with WTOC’s Shea Schrader earlier this year, Jackson described himself as “very pro data center.” Watch that clip here.

Then, just a few weeks later, 13WMAZ revealed that Jackson has a direct financial stake in data centers through an investment he has in a Texas facility.  “I do have an investment and that’s the reason I’m knowledgeable about it,” Jackson told 13WMAZ. Read that story here.

“Rick Jackson has a direct financial stake in data centers. He doesn’t give a damn about our utility bills – he’s just looking to protect his investments and boost his bottom line,” said Democratic Party of Georgia spokesperson Jake Strickland. “Slick Rick Jackson will do anything to sell out our state to make a quick buck, no matter how much it hurts our families.”

Throughout his campaign, Jackson has been repeatedly exposed for having a direct financial stake in policies harming Georgians. When asked about Medicaid expansion, he strongly opposes such a proposal (probably because he was exposed by the AJC for building his fortune off our broken healthcare system). When asked about high gas prices, he admitted to investing in an oil refinery (literally profiting off our pain at the pump). When asked about tariffs, he bragged about making money off these cost-raising policies (even as they’ve taken money directly out of Georgians’ pockets). The list goes on, but Rick Jackson has made clear from the start that he’s driven by what’s best for his bottom line, not by what’s best for Georgia.
