In new reporting from American Journal News, GOP U.S. Senate candidate Mike Collins’ record of trading cryptocurrency while serving in the House of Representatives is facing fresh scrutiny as he tries to deceive Georgians about his potential corruption while asking for a promotion to the Senate.

The report outlines how Collins lied to a Georgian who asked about his crypto trading, when he tried to minimize his trades by making the false claim that his crypto trades were “immune from insider trading.”

Collins’ latest attempts to downplay his crypto corruption comes after he was already exposed for violating the federal STOCK Act – which is a crime for lawmakers – by failing to disclose up to $30,000 in cryptocurrency trades before the mandatory deadline.
