As Burt Jones, Chris Carr, and Brad Raffensperger remain completely silent on ICE abuses in Minnesota – including the killing of American citizens – they have also stood by as Donald Trump has attacked Georgians’ constitutional rights, in what has become a hard-and-fast Trump loyalty test within the GOP primary for governor.

Trump garnered criticism by saying “[y]ou can’t have guns” in response to a question about ICE abuses. Hesitant to ever criticize Trump, Jones, Carr, and Raffensperger all buried their heads in the sand rather than stand up for their beliefs – and indeed, Georgians’ constitutional rights.

“Burt Jones, Chris Carr, and Brad Raffensperger have made it clear they stand more firmly with Trump than the people of Georgia, refusing to speak out at a time when Americans are being killed and our constitutional rights are under attack,” said Jake Strickland, communications advisor to the Georgia Democratic Party. “Their cowardice is on full display, and Georgians will reject this spinelessness at the ballot box in November.”
