This week, the Biden-Harris administration announced that 38,590 borrowers in Georgia are eligible for a total of $2 billion in automatic student loan relief. In response, DPG spokesperson Ellie Schwartz released the following statement:

“For too long, student loan debt has been a barrier for millions of Americans striving to earn their way into the middle class. But President Biden and Vice President Harris have kept their unwavering commitment to providing a pathway to the middle class through education – even in the face of extreme MAGA Republican efforts to block relief. Thanks to their leadership, thousands of Georgians will now be eligible for loan forgiveness – further evidence that Bidenomics is helping everyday Americans get ahead.”
