Today, on the fourth anniversary of the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade and cleared the way for Republicans to gut reproductive freedom in Georgia, voters should know that Georgia Republicans running to represent them as Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General and Secretary of State are anti-abortion extremists who support stripping women of their reproductive freedom.
“Greg Dolezal, Brian Strickland, and Tim Fleming proudly support stripping Georgia women of their right to make their own health care decisions. Every one of them is dangerously out of touch and far too extreme to lead our state,” said Ellie Schwartz, DPG spokesperson.
See below for more on the Republican statewide nominees’ dangerous anti-choice records:
Greg Dolezal, GOP nominee for Lieutenant Governor, voted to pass Georgia’s extreme abortion ban, which is one of the most extreme in the country, and supports banning abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest.
Brian Strickland, GOP nominee for Attorney General, voted to pass Georgia’s extreme abortion ban, and supports banning abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest.
Tim Fleming, GOP nominee for Secretary of State, supports banning abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest, and wants to ensure that “there is no place for abortions in Georgia.” He also brags that he “championed” the passage of Georgia’s extreme abortion ban.
