Georgia Democrats Welcome Vice President Harris Back to Georgia for “Fight for Reproductive Freedoms” Tour

Today, ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris’s visit to Georgia on her Fight for Reproductive Freedoms Tour, DPG Chair Congresswoman Nikema Williams released the following statement:

“Georgia Democrats are thrilled to welcome Vice President Harris to Savannah today to shine a light on the harm that Georgia Republicans’ extreme and dangerous abortion ban is causing women across our state.

“Let’s be clear: while it was Georgia Republicans who passed our state’s draconian abortion ban, it was Donald Trump who made it possible in the first place. And the stakes are about to get even higher: if Trump returns to the White House, he has promised to work with extreme MAGA Republicans to ban abortion nationwide.

“Georgia Democrats are grateful to have Vice President Harris here reminding voters that there is a way to defend reproductive freedom from Trump and MAGA Republicans’ attacks – and that’s sending her and President Biden back to the White House in November.”
