Georgia Democrats Welcome Vice President Harris Back to Atlanta

ATLANTA – Today, ahead of Vice President Harris’s 10th visit to Atlanta since taking office, Democratic Party of Georgia Chair Congresswoman Nikema Williams released the following statement:

“Georgia Democrats are excited to welcome Vice President Harris back to the Peach State today for an important conversation with voting rights advocates and community leaders. There is no better place than Atlanta – the cradle of the civil rights movement – for the Vice President to outline what’s at stake for our right to vote and other fundamental freedoms in the 2024 election. 

“As Donald Trump and extreme MAGA Republicans ramp up their dangerous anti-democracy rhetoric and attacks on voting rights, Georgians are more fired up than ever to stand with Vice President Harris and President Biden this November as they fight to ensure our fundamental freedoms are safe and our democracy is strong.”
