Help Move Georgia Forward
The Democratic Party of Georgia is in a stronger financial position than ever before after raising a total of $1.16 million in the first three months of 2022, bringing the state party’s total cash on hand to $1.8 million – well over double the amount the state party had at the end of the first quarter in the 2018 midterm election cycle. This unprecedented fundraising sets the stage for even more innovative and robust organizing, communications, digital, coalition-building, and voter protection efforts leading up to the May primary and November general election.
“Our strong fundraising numbers send a clear message: voters are fired up, and Georgia Democrats’ momentum is greater than ever before,” said Scott Hogan, Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Georgia. “With more resources at our disposal than at this point in any year past, Georgia Democrats are well-positioned to build on our 2020 and 2021 victories, win up and down the ballot in the midterm elections, and continue to make history.”
Additionally, DPG is finishing Q1 with more full-time party staff and active county committees than at this point in past cycles. With stronger party infrastructure than ever before, Georgia Democrats are poised for a strong showing in 2022.
