Help Move Georgia Forward
President Biden’s historic Bipartisan infrastructure Law will deliver $619 million to improve and modernize Georgia’s airports over the next five years – no thanks to Georgia’s Congressional Republicans, who unanimously opposed this critical funding. Fortunately, thanks to President Biden and Georgia Democrats, this landmark infrastructure package will deliver a once-in-a-generation investment to upgrade our airports, ease our supply chain system, boost our economy, and make travel safer and easier for Georgians.
“Georgia Republicans begrudge and bemoan supply chain issues caused by the pandemic yet tried to stand in the way of improving airports, creating jobs, and boosting local economies in their own congressional districts,” Rhyan Lake, spokeswoman for the Democratic Party of Georgia, said. “Thankfully, Georgia Democrats helped President Biden pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and deliver a historic investment to expand and improve airports across our state, all without raising taxes a single penny for middle-class Georgians. Georgia Republicans’ partisan grandstanding begs the question: Is obstruction the only item on the GOP’s agenda?”
