FACT CHECK: Koch Network Super PAC Tries to Rewrite Perdue’s Toxic Health Care Record

April 2, 2020

ATLANTA — Today, a Koch network super PAC is putting out a new ad attempting to rewrite Senator David Perdue’s toxic health care record as thousands of Georgians brace for losing their health care coverage.

Here are the facts about Senator Perdue’s actual health care record:

The facts are clear: Perdue’s reckless health care agenda is a disaster for the over 1.8 million Georgians with pre-existing conditions as well as the over 130,000 Georgians who filed for unemployment last week alone.

“Senator David Perdue’s agenda on health care is so toxic that he’s relying on out-of-state super PAC allies to rewrite his disastrous health care record,” said Alex Floyd, spokesman for the Democratic Party of Georgia. “In the middle of this public health crisis with thousands of Georgians already out of work and many set to lose their health care coverage, Georgians deserve the facts about their elected officials’ health care records — not distortions from Koch-aligned super PACs.”
