DPG Statement on Shooting at Apalachee High School

Today, Chair of the Democratic Party of Georgia Congresswoman Nikema Williams released the following statement:

“Our children should not have to fear for their lives when they walk into their classrooms. We mourn the lives cut short by today’s horrific shooting at Apalachee High School, and our hearts break for all the students, families, and faculty impacted by this tragedy.

“Our heartbreak is not enough – Georgians need immediate, urgent action to improve gun safety because we all need to live in communities free from gun violence.”
