Tonight, as Democrat Shawn Harris is set to become the top vote-getter, significantly overperform Vice President Harris’s 2024 margin, and advance to a runoff in the most Republican Congressional District in Georgia, DPG Chair Charlie Bailey released the following statement:
“Tonight, in a Trump +37 district and with more than a dozen Republican options to choose from, voters are set to make Shawn Harris the top vote-getter in the CD-14 special election and send him to a runoff. Even in Marjorie Taylor Greene’s former district, Georgians are sick and tired of cost-raising, health care-cutting, failed Republican leadership – and Shawn’s performance tonight is the proof.
