“John King touting his loyalty to Donald Trump at the launch of his bid for Georgia’s Senate seat is telling yet not surprising as the Republican field grows and caters to the MAGA far-right. King will undoubtedly spend the next eighteen months defending Trump every step of the way even when it hurts Georgia families, whether it’s to slash Medicaid that over two million Georgians rely on, support GOP-backed efforts to raise costs for working families, endorse anti-abortion legislation, or back Elon Musk’s chaotic cuts that are harming Georgians across the state.
“The Democratic Party of Georgia remains committed to supporting Senator Jon Ossoff’s re-election and helping Democrats up and down the ballot win next November and beyond.”
